Hello,
I have carefully explored all the accessibility options available in both versions of Minecraft, Bedrock and Java Edition. Unfortunately, I came to the same conclusion: the mouse cursor is permanently locked to the center of the screen, causing the camera to move whenever the mouse is used.
I understand that this behavior works perfectly well for most players. However, for players with motor disabilities, it makes the game inaccessible. Because the cursor is locked, we cannot use our assistive software or adaptive input devices.
I would like to ask you to consider adding a simple accessibility option that allows players to unlock the mouse cursor.
The camera system could still work by rotating the view only while the right mouse button is held down, which is a common and intuitive solution used in many PC games.
This approach would not affect the experience of existing players, as the current behavior could remain the default. Players who need this accessibility feature could simply enable it in the settings, making Minecraft finally playable for many people with disabilities.
Thank you for considering this request and for your continued efforts to improve accessibility.
Sincerely,
Romain
