Dedicated map. Period.

We need a map. Not just the sugar canes and compass. We need a map that IS an item that is craftable, but it needs to fill and GROW as we travel. Icons, blips, markers, maybe next time but for now we need a map that lets us... Map out our world. Instead we have to craft blanks and carry the old map and start a new one at the edge. Sometimes we mess up and have to run all the way back to make more maps. It's discouraging knowing we may find something amazing once, and never again because we weren't ready to make a bunch of maps to take home and stick on the wall. So yeah, a world map that has player current location, and that fills normally as we travel. Any new crafted "world map" would be the same in case we lose one. The other maps are great for a snap shot of an area of terrain or for wall decor but again, real map please?
