As it is poplar wood is a dark cream colored wood, which I admit is a useful addition for use in the practice of gradient building. However, I believe poplar wood would serve a better purpose in building if it shared its color with stone, as it would allow players to make “stone” versions of useful building blocks exclusive to wooden colors, such as shelves, doors, and trapdoors. In addition to basic “stone” furniture items, the unique shapes of trapdoors and shelves allow builders to make more detailed stoneworks, such as archways, obelisks, and more.
