The Weaver

Appearance & Habitat The Weaver is a neutral, ethereal arthropod found rarely in the End Highlands and Deep Dark. It features a translucent, pulsing crystal body armored with dark obsidian plates, floating gracefully on four long, silk-like legs. A single, large blue eye blinks slowly, turning amber if the creature is provoked. Behavior & Environment As a passive utility mob, it drifts through the air emitting a soft, ambient light (level 7). It spins invisible, glowing vertical lines called Aether Strands. When touched, these strands grant players temporary Levitation or Slow Falling, introducing a dynamic element to vertical exploration and base building. If attacked, it fires a cosmic web that inflicts Slowness V and prevents jumping for 3 seconds, allowing the Weaver to float away unharmed. Drops & Crafting Players can use Shears to safely harvest Aether Silk without harming the mob. This resource regenerates over time and can be used to craft high-tier utility items: Weaver's Boots: Combined with Iron Boots, they cut fall damage by 50% and allow effortless movement across Powder Snow and Aether Strands. Tether Block: A redstone-compatible block that projects a vertical beam of light, serving as a futuristic, climbable ladder.q
