On Minecraft Education Edition, you cannot play on a shared world unless the host is in the world too. This tends to be INCREDIBLY impractical. For example, if someone needs to do their homework and it happens to be on Minecraft Edu (as it is used in schools), it's possible they may not be able to do it as it might be in a shared world with other students or the teacher. It is also impractical as if someone is playing for fun, they cannot play in their friends world (if it happens to be a shared one) unless the host is in it, which not all the time people can do. I believe that a realms feature should be added to Education Edition as it would be more practical.
