Bedrock Realms already has a Brazil datacenter, but Java Realms has no South America option at all. The closest regions available to South American players are North Carolina, Virginia, Iowa, and Illinois — all in the US — resulting in 150–180ms+ of latency that makes gameplay noticeably laggier.
This is a significant gap in parity between the two editions. Java players in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and across the region are paying the same subscription price but getting a meaningfully worse experience than Bedrock players due to no fault of their own.
Since the infrastructure clearly exists on Mojang's end (it's already live for Bedrock), extending it to Java Realms seems like a natural next step. Please bring South America region support to Java Realms.
