Why did you remove the LAN world thing (on java edition)

why did you remove the LAN world I and maybe a lot of people really liked it, And now you just shipped it like a "finished" growing tree? I'm really tired of downloading servers and it taking up so much space, so why not make the game take up so much space just to play with friends, and it's going to take up so much space people will soon probably have to uninstall games just to play with friends on Minecraft Java Edition.
