Bedrock’s HUD layout desperately needs a dedicated visual slot for the off-hand directly next to the main hotbar, exactly like Java Edition. Right now, Bedrock players have to constantly pause and open their full inventory screens just to check how many arrows they have left, see their shield's remaining durability, or double-check if their Totem of Undying is actually equipped. This is frustrating during intense boss battles or cave exploration. Adding this clean visual HUD slot would immediately solve these issues. Furthermore, to make it mobile-friendly, Mojang could add a simple gesture: double-tapping this new off-hand HUD slot could instantly swap whatever item you are holding from your main hand to your off-hand. This frees up precious hotbar space, streamlines the UI, and eliminates the need for players to rely on custom UI add-ons.
And you could double-tap the slot you're selecting to put it in your offhand.
