When a trident drowned throws their trident it has an animation of the trident returning to them. Their trident has durabilty and so may break while they are using it. If you defeat them and they do drop their trident then it will have the loyalty enchantment (a game rule can enable or disable this enchantment option) If a droned spawns in a coral reef, they appear with a texture with coral all over it.
