After updating to Java snapshot 26.2, all commands are completely blocked for Hardcore worlds even when I need them to fix world errors like broken terrain, missing items from crashes, stuck mobs and faulty redstone builds. There is no in-game switch to unlock all commands for maintenance use right now. The only workaround is manually editing the level.dat file repeatedly, which is cumbersome and carries a risk of corrupting the save file. I hope the official team adds a normal "Allow Cheats" toggle that can unlock all commands normally for Hardcore worlds. Players can choose to turn it on voluntarily when they only need to repair their world, while all original Hardcore rules including permanent hard difficulty and spectator mode after death stay intact. This would give players more convenient ways to maintain their Hardcore worlds without breaking the core one-life challenge design.
