So, many people have an idea for thirst, and I would like to share my take on it. The thirst bar wouldn’t be like the hunger bar, it would just have 4 tiers, parched, thirsty, satisfied and hydrated. Every 7.5 minutes, it will go down one tier unless you do one of the following things: drink a liquid, like water or milk, or eat 3 or more vegetables (not potatoes) fruits, or raw meats. This causes it to stay at the same tier. Do it twice to make it go up one tier. The benefits and Dubuffet of each tier are as follows. Parched: you can’t sprint, and lose hunger 20% faster, Thirsty: sprinting uses 10% more hunger, satisfied: nothing, Hydrated: sprinting uses 10% less hunger. In hot biomes it goes down every 5 minutes instead of 7.5. To make water easier to get, you can craft a water skin with 3 rabbit skin and a sting. This can be filled at a water source by right clicking it, and holds 5 drinks of water. You can also regain 1 thirst by staying underwater for more than 3 seconds. So, that’s my take, not too impactful, but a neat system, make sense too. So yeah, hope you liked it.
