Much like sculk based redstone that depends on sound, having proximity based red stone will cause innovation such as new farms, traps and world building. This will further immerse the player due to: builds changing perhaps when a chunk is loaded or a player enters a 20 block radius, maybe mobs being killed if they enter a restricted section and players being pranked off course. We have seen how creative players can be with sculk based red stone therefore I believe this will have the same effect on the creativity on the Minecraft player-base.
