Minecraft would benefit from a long-term goal of achieving complete parity between Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.
Players should be able to expect the same gameplay mechanics, Redstone behavior, commands, world generation, features, and updates regardless of which platform they play on.
A unified experience would reduce confusion, simplify content creation, improve multiplayer compatibility, and make Minecraft easier to learn and maintain for the future.
While the underlying technology may remain different, the gameplay experience should feel like a single version of Minecraft.
