Give each villager more slots. Fletcher could buy a stack of arrows for an emerald, farmer could buy a half stack of bonemeal. Shepherd buys dyes, leather worker buys leather (and leather armor can be recycled; traded at one piece full durability for one leather). Add a sawmill as a work block, lumber worker buys logs, quarter stacks of saplings, block works similar to stone mill -gives better ratio for stairs. Fix sawmill so [example:] cobble stairs can still be milled into only stone stairs, or cobble slab at a rate of 1 per stair. Basically add the ability to de/cobble stairs.
Add an adventurer (could combine parts of cartographer and parts of wandering trader) and finds neat things with the player -give her a special map and she joins you. Challenge level goes up (more mobs/higher difficulty) but she takes some of the mob aggro to compensate. She's not necessarily strong, but redirects some of the mobs, giving time to clear underwater monuments, trial chambers or raids. Maybe she needs to be equipped with minimum gear (given by player)... an underwater monuments trip would need a respiration + aqua affinity helmet or book, a water breathing potion, locator map, a boat, a spear. Maybe she'll give looting effect ++, but needs to be protected -must be involved in combat to get bonus (15 radius to player, 5 blocks from hostile mob. Handicap if player dies. Maybe an adventure is only available every 30 game days, and needs different supplies for different adventures.
