To fit the cozy and mysterious autumn theme of the Dappled Forest, here is a new structure concept: The Abandoned Gardener’s Homestead. This rare, ruined structure tells a silent story of a gardener who once lived here but left before winter arrived.
THE OVERGROUND COTTAGE The main building is a small, ruined wooden cottage covered in vines and moss. Inside, players can find a cozy but abandoned setup: a faded bed, a crafting table, and several flower pots containing autumn-themed flowers or withered plants. Outside, a broken and decayed wooden fence surrounds the property. There is also a small, overgrown farm patch with mixed, fully grown crops hidden among tall grass and weeds.
THE SCARECROW Standing in the middle of the ruined farm patch is a unique decorative element: A Scarecrow. Made from a fence post, a hay bale, and a carved pumpkin on top, it adds an incredible, eerie autumn atmosphere to the entire biome.
THE FORGOTTEN CELLAR Hidden beneath the cottage floorboards is a secret trapdoor leading down into a dark cellar filled with cobwebs. This is where the gardener stored their autumn harvest. Inside, players can discover barrels and chests filled with valuable farming loot:
-
Various crop seeds and pumpkin seeds
-
Fresh apples, carrots, potatoes, and beetroots
-
Occasional bone meal or worn-out iron farming tools
This structure gives players a wonderful new place to explore and a great source of early-game crops, fitting the Dappled Forest beautifully!
