With the introduction of the new autumn biome, the Dappled Forest, I have a feature and mob concept that would perfectly fit its cozy, seasonal, and slightly mysterious atmosphere.
### πͺΊ New Feature: Abandoned Bird Nests
Since the Dappled Forest is set in autumn, many migratory birds have already flown south for the winter. To reflect this, a new block/decoration called the Bird's Nest could generate naturally on poplar tree branches and the roofs of structures.Β
* Players can break or loot them to find items like feathers, sticks, or seeds.
* It adds a realistic, bittersweet autumn storytelling element to the biome.
### π¦ New Mob: The Owl
But the forest isn't completely empty! Owls would be the perfect addition to this ecosystem. In real life, owls don't usually build their own nests from scratch; instead, they take over abandoned nests or hollows.Β
* Behavior: During the day, Owls can be found sleeping inside the abandoned bird nests on trees or ruined structures. At night, they wake up and fly around the forest, hunting small pests.
* Atmosphere: Hearing their distinct hooting sounds at night would make exploring the Dappled Forest an incredibly immersive and atmospheric experience.
This small ecosystem mechanic would connect the environment, a new block, and a new mob together beautifully! What do you guys think?
