Hi Mojang Team,With the recent announcement of the gorgeous Dappled Forest biome, I would love to suggest a new passive mob that fits this ecosystem perfectly and aligns beautifully with Minecraftβs philosophy: The Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris). As we know, the red squirrel is currently threatened with extinction in several parts of Europe due to habitat loss and competition. Adding them to Minecraft would be an incredible way to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, just like you successfully did with axolotls, polar bears, and sea turtles. Here is how the Red Squirrel could work in the game without violating any of Mojang's design rules:Behavior & Environment: They would be passive, agile, and slightly shy mobs living among the new Poplar trees. They could use their parkour skills to jump onto the new Shelf Mushrooms, bouncing around the forest naturally. helping with natural reforestation.Campsite Scavengers: Since the biome features Abandoned Camps, squirrels could occasionally be seen climbing on tents or looking inside barrels for food.No Incentives for Violence: To promote conservation, killing a red squirrel would not drop any unique items or meatβonly a small amount of XP, or a seed they happened to be carrying at the moment. They could be bred using existing nuts or seeds. The Dappled Forest is already looking magical, but adding the Red Squirrel would give it the perfect touch of life and a powerful real-world message.Thank you for listening to the community!
