I'd like to propose a new mechanic for Dispensers in Minecraft:
When a projectile shot from a Dispenser bounces back and hits the dispenser itself, the dispenser will be stunned and unable to fire for a set duration, with visual effects matching the projectile.
Core rules:
- Arrows: The arrow sticks into the dispenser's opening, stunning it for 11 seconds. The stuck arrow is visible, and players can remove it.
- All other projectiles (Snowballs, Fire Charges, Slimeballs, etc.): Stun the dispenser for 10 seconds, with a unique visual effect.
Specific visual effects:
- Snowball: The dispenser's front face turns white, as if covered in snow.
- Fire Charge: The dispenser catches fire briefly, with small flames coming from the opening.
- Slimeball: Slime drips down from the dispenser's opening, leaving a sticky trail.
This mechanic adds a fun risk-reward element to traps, PvP, and redstone contraptions, making dispenser use more dynamic and satisfying.
