Redeeming capes on non-Windows devices

Currently it seems the only way to apply capes is to go through Bedrock edition. However, this is a huge problem for a lot of people who do not have a computer capable of running Windows. I am about to install Bedrock JUST for this cape, which okay, but it would be great if we could get an alternative to this roundabout way of getting the cape in Java.
