Multi player is prevented by different game versions

Please can you add a way for bedrock players with different game versions to play together in multi player worlds. Multi player game play in bedrock edition is not possible for players with different game versions. This can cause problems every time the minecraft game is updated. I play on an android tablet which uses Google play store. My children play on amazon fire tablets which use amazon app store. These 2 different app stores take different amounts of time to allow their users access to new game updates. Currently I am blocked from playing with my children because they have minecraft v26.30 and I have v26.23. I am unable to update my game because there is no update available in Google play store. I have tried enrolling in the beta program but that puts me on v26.40 and the problem still remains. If there was a way for players to play together while updates are in progress, that would be very welcome.
