Could it be an idea for a future update to tackle the light system in minecraft. Currently all lightsources emit the same white light. (Even though froglights appear to be yellow, green and purplish, the light they actually emit is white. (Same as the end rod, lantarn, campfires, shroom light and the sea-lantarn). Even the soul/copper-lantarn and glow lycean produce white light, only less bright. The only exception is Lava, which emits a orange glow (at least, if you play with shaders). Wouldn't it be cool to be able to adjust the colour of the light either by placing a lens in front of a light source, (like for instance glass panes) or make the blocks itself emit different colours of light.
Also a nice addition would be direction light. (Spotlights). These could be long distance 'beams' of light with a far bigger range, but instead of being omnidirectional, have the light cast in a narrow beam. (Think about stage lights, or maybe even a portable version the players can carry around. Imagine going caving, holding a flashlight, the beam of light illuminating the way, but creepers and zombies ambushing you from the sides. It will get players so much more on edge while mining.
