I was browsing the r/MinecraftPvP subreddit and saw an absolutely amazing idea by user u/Brief-Walk-5409: making the controversial exploit known as "Attribute Swapping"—most commonly used by PvP players—a toggleable feature in the game's settings.
I personally think this is a great idea because it will allow players who don't want to use attribute swapping, or who find it to be an annoying bug, to turn it off and not worry about it. It would also accommodate the large portion of the PvP community that finds the bug vital to many core game modes (most notably Mace, Spear Mace, Vanilla, and Crystal) and any playstyle that requires rapidly switching between items to perform specific actions like lunge swapping, stun slamming, and breach swapping.
I think this would strike a happy balance within the community. Even though attribute swapping was not an intended feature, it has become vital to PvP players. While I understand that Minecraft was not explicitly designed for PvP, it is undeniable that the PvP community makes up a very large and important part of the overall player base.
I really hope this is taken into consideration.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
