Pre-release2 caused huge chaos in the Minecraft community, especially in the PVP community. In this version Mojang has removed exploit called "Attribute Swapping", normally this would only cause chaos in the mace/spear community, but it actually caused chaos in the whole PVP community outside the sword pvp. This is because Mojang by trying to remove Attribute Swapping also removed a very essential feature in most pvp styles, and by this being: "Instant Block Placement/Item Activation" it all comes down to this:
for example: when you're holding a ender pearl and then you switch hotbar slot to one with an elytra and right click at the same time normally it would make you instantly equip the elytra, but in pre2 it makes you hold the elytra but throw the pearl instead of equiping the elytra. the same thing is for blocks, you hold one block, you click hotbar and rightclick at the same time and instead of the block you chose, you place the block you were holding before. This is the reason Insta carts and crystal pvp is impossible to do at the speed, you would normally be able to do. And this is the bad part about this, these techniques are possible but they are way slower and clunkier to perform.
I know many people won't agree with me on this, but i think that the best compromise would be to remove Attribute Swaps, but not Instant Block Placements/Item Activations with them all together.
instead of all pvp styles being way worse, we keep most of them but sacrifise spear & mace techs
