Hey dev team,
With the recent change in snapshot 26w02a that adjusted the input processing queue (moving the hotbar action after attack/use), attribute swapping and specific fast-paced PvP mechanics have been entirely removed. While this makes total sense for balancing the Mace and vanilla survival, it completely breaks the ecosystem of competitive custom PvP networks and legacy mini-games that relied on that tick-perfect packet behavior.
Could we get a new gamerule - something like
/gamerule legacyInputOrdering true/false - that lets world creators and server hosts toggle between the new, safer input queue and the old system?Having this as a gamerule keeps vanilla survival perfectly balanced and exploit-free by default. At the same time, it gives the technical and competitive multiplayer community the tools to keep their specialized game modes alive without relying on heavy third-party mods or complex server plugins that hurt performance.
Please consider adding this to give server admins more flexibility for custom combat environments! Thanks.
