I know many people were upset with one major update per year, as it takes too long for it to come out. Now, with four game drops, new content is far more common, yet people complain that there's not enough time to fully develop the updates. (Besides, the game drops seem to limit the scope of what Mojang can add.)
So, the obvious solution is to find a number in between. The obvious answer for that is two, because it would be a bit weird to arrange scheduling for three game drops. How this would work is that Minecraft Live happens in January and July each year, where the first of the new features are announced. Then, over the next roughly six months, they are developed, and then released in June and December. This would allow for there to be a good amount of new content and changes to the game, without pacing the release of new updates too slowly.
Thanks for reading my idea! I hope you like it!
