Update Suggestion: The Cave Badger – A Useful Mining Companion

Dear Mojang Team,

I would like to suggest a new semi-tameable mob: The Cave Badger. This creature spawns deep underground (especially in Lush Caves) and is designed to be the ultimate companion for miners.

Features & Taming: Players can tame them using Glow Berries. Once tamed, the Cave Badger provides three unique and highly requested mechanics:

  1. Ore Sniffing: When taken into caves, they can sniff out hidden valuable ores (like Diamonds) behind walls. They will scratch the surface and make noises to guide the player.

  2. Item Retriever: If you die and lose your items, you can let your badger sniff a spare tool. It will track the smell and lead you back to your death coordinates before your items despawn.

  3. Pouch Storage: You can equip them with a small leather pouch, allowing them to carry junk blocks like Cobblestone or Dirt while you focus on mining.

Why players would love it: Mining can sometimes feel repetitive. The Cave Badger turns caving into a fun partnership and drastically reduces the frustration of losing your inventory after an accidental death.
