item hunting allay

Currently  the allays only obvious use is to play fetch and work machines in the loaded chunks witch makes it extremely limited in times of use, so I propose that if you give the allay an item if there isn't a copy of that item if there is one within the loaded chunks they would fly towards the nearest source of that item or if needed crafted they would fly after the nearest source of a part of that item, making them more useful especially when mining for example if you are looking for iron they would fly at it and you could find it a lot easier you will still need to put in the work of mining also because you still need to give them items you will at least need to find the item normally at least once and you still need to find and befriend an allay so in the bigger picture it would just add so much more use to the allay, I feel the community would really appreciate an allay upgrade such as this.
