Idea: Built-in Proximity Voice Chat with Immersive Audio Effects

Dear Minecraft Development Team,

My name is Daniil, and I have been playing Minecraft since its early development, when I was around 7–8 years old. I am now 25, and Minecraft remains one of my favorite games.

I would like to suggest adding a native proximity voice chat system.

The idea is to make voice communication more immersive by including:

• Distance-based voice volume and direction
• Echo effects in caves and enclosed spaces
• Natural voice attenuation as players move away
• Advanced audio settings for customization and accessibility

This would significantly improve immersion and in-game social interaction, especially for players who prefer not to use external apps like Discord.

I have tried the Simple Voice Chat mod, and it shows how effective and immersive such a system can be. I would like to ask whether a similar feature has ever been considered for Minecraft, including Realms or the base game.
