Multiplayer nicknames

My idea is that you should be able to assign nicknames to your friends for convenience for commands and stuff. When I'm trying to whisper to my friends in game, it is annoying how I have to type their username, which is long and I don't normally remember it. It would be nice if I just typed their nickname. I play on bedrock on switch so it doesn't autofill anything or try to guess who I am messaging.
