Domestic Dog Variants, A Players Best Friend

I was thinking we introduce dogs to Minecraft, where they originally spawn in a village due to the villagers, just like the cats. I think there should be multiple different breeds, maybe not all of the breeds that exist, maybe just the classics like goldens, labs, pugs, chihuahuas. I ALSO think there should be larger breeds likes pitbulls, rottweilers, etc. Who are used as guard dogs to the players but can also be extremely docile (Only harmful to hostile mobs and mobs the player who tamed it hits). For taming/food, I was thinking making a new block, kinda like composts and cauldrons, but smaller and used as food and water bowls for dogs, food should either be anything already in the game, or dog food should be created with simple foods already in game. For taming, I was thinking maybe like feeding it dog treats, which should be baked biscuits, a craftable item including wheat, eggs, milk, and water.
