I was thinking about how Fe(Iron) and S2 (Sulfur) make pyrite (fool's gold), and looks like real gold despite lack Au(Gold element). Then, I realized that Minecraft is going to have sulfur caves and the update isn't finished yet.
So because real iron and sulfur elements make up (fools) gold, perhaps when iron generates next to sulfur blocks, gold ore could also generate (therefore generating more gold in the sulfur biome). Or, even better, if you feed a sulfur cube raw iron or iron ingots, the cube could spit out raw gold or gold ingot. Not only would these things increase the need to go the sulfur biome for more gold, but could directly allow players to have more access to gold if they already have excess iron.
