Regular swamps are currently boring and empty. It’s time to add a friendly, high-utility mob that interacts with music and drops a unique reward for builders and potion makers. Meet the Peat Toad.
The Mob: The Peat Toad
This is a large, moss-covered, peaceful amphibian that spawns rare in swamp biomes. It spends its time sitting near muddy water, making deep, rhythmic croaking sounds.
The Mud Filter: If you drop dirty items like Mud, Clay, or Gravel near the Toad, it will slowly swallow them and "filter" them through its belly, spitting out useful resources like Bone Meal, Clay Balls, or rare Iron Nuggets.
The Musical Dance: If you play a Jukebox or a Note Block near the Peat Toad, it starts inflating its glowing throat pouch in sync with the rhythm. While dancing to music, the Toad releases a soothing mist that doubles the growth speed of nearby sugar canes and mangrove roots.
The Toad Slime Drop: Breeding two Peat Toads using brown mushrooms drops a "Toad Slime". This item can be brewed into a Potion of Buoyancy, which prevents players from sinking in mud or flowing water, making swamp traversal completely effortless.
