When using multi-touch controls on Minecraft Bedrock / Pocket Edition mobile, pressing HUD buttons such as attack, interact, jump, or sneak can unintentionally move the camera or affect aiming.
This is especially noticeable during PvP, bridging, fast building, parkour, and four-finger/claw gameplay.
Expected behavior:
Touches on HUD buttons should stay locked to those buttons and should not rotate the camera or affect aiming while pressed.
Current behavior:
While pressing HUD buttons with another finger, camera movement can still occur from the touch input, causing accidental aim movement and inconsistent controls.
Many mobile games separate HUD button touches from camera input using touch priority or touch isolation systems. A similar option or setting in Minecraft mobile would greatly improve advanced touch controls.
This is honestly the main thing preventing me from seriously enjoying Minecraft on mobile. The gameplay itself is great, but the current touch handling makes advanced controls frustrating compared to other mobile games.
Suggested feature ideas:
-
Ignore camera movement while touching HUD buttons
-
Touch priority for HUD controls
-
HUD touch isolation
-
Lock camera while pressing buttons
