Currently, mineshafts feel like remnants of a lost past. I propose making surface mineshafts in the Badlands "active" when they generate near a village. This would bridge a gap in the game's lore, finally explaining how villagers source the materials, ores, and gems they use for trading.
Features:
-
Active Structures: Unlike abandoned mineshafts, these would be well-lit with lanterns, have intact rail systems, and be free of cobwebs.
-
New Mob - The Miner Villager: A new profession for villagers. They can be found working inside the shafts, "mining" at walls or transporting goods in minecarts.
-
New Item - Miner’s Helmet: An uncraftable item obtained only through trading or as rare loot in Active Mineshafts. This glowstone dust-fueled helmet emits a light level of 8, providing dynamic lighting for exploration without making torches obsolete.
P.S. I'm proposing this so i feel a little less lonely when i play singleplayer 👉👈
