I suggest adding Mercury as a new rare liquid in the Chaos Cubed update.
Basic mechanics:
· Mercury can be transported with a bucket
· It generates in small pools underground, mostly in Sulfur Caves
· Players standing in Mercury get Poison I (same as freezing from Powder Snow)
· Above Mercury, silver particles occasionally appear
Poison cloud (区域效果云):
· The silver particles act like Dragon's Breath (area effect cloud)
· Any entity entering the particle cloud gets Poison I for 1–2 seconds
· This makes Mercury dangerous even if you don't touch the liquid itself
Sulfur Geyser interaction (重要联动):
· Currently, a Sulfur Geyser activates when a liquid is placed on Sulfur blocks
· If Mercury counts as a liquid, it will trigger the geyser
· The geyser's upward airflow should push the Mercury particle cloud upward
· Result: a vertical silver poison tower rising from the geyser
Why this fits the Chaos Cubed theme:
· It uses existing mechanics (Powder Snow freezing, Dragon Breath clouds, geyser airflow)
· Low development cost — mostly copy/paste with parameter changes
· Creates a chaotic but logical interaction players can discover themselves
Expected behavior:
· Mercury on Sulfur → geyser activates → particle cloud rises → upward poison zone appears
· Great for traps, exploration hazards, and new defense builds
