What do you want done?
I suggest adding a new peaceful ambient mob with a life cycle: the Caterpillar and the Butterfly. This includes a unique interaction with the player and a rare cosmetic reward for a specific achievement.
Why do you want something done?
Minecraft needs more small, peaceful mobs that exist purely for atmosphere, kindness, and beauty. Currently, the world can feel empty without tiny insects. These mobs won't provide resources but will offer a deep sense of coziness and "Zen" to the gameplay.
How do you want something done?
– The Caterpillar: A small green or dark green mob with 6 HP. They spawn in forests, high grass, or on leaf blocks. You can feed them grass (collected with shears). Feeding them gives a chance for the caterpillar to turn into a Cocoon.
– The Transformation: After one in-game day, the cocoon hatches into a Butterfly.
– The Butterfly: Has 4 HP. It can either hatch from a cocoon or spawn naturally in flower biomes. They fly around and land on small flowers.
– Unique Interaction: Occasionally, a butterfly can land on the player's nose, gently fluttering its wings.
– Rare Event: There is a very small chance to encounter a White Butterfly. If a White Butterfly lands on your nose, you unlock a special achievement.
– Achievement "A Touch of Lightness": Unlock by letting a White Butterfly land on your face. Reward: A Head Accessory for the Character Creator — a tiny white butterfly that sits on your head and occasionally flutters its wings.
