Dear Mojang/Microsoft,
I am writing to address a critical turning point for the Minecraft Bedrock community. NetherGames, a pillar of the ecosystem since 2016 with over 6 million registered players, has officially announced it will shut down on June 28, 2026.
The primary reason cited is the unsustainable "technical battle" and lack of visibility faced by non-featured servers. While previous feedback has requested NetherGames be featured, the situation is now an emergency. Losing a decade-old community of this scale would be a massive loss for Bedrock’s player retention and diversity.
NetherGames provides unique competitive modes, like Factions and specialized PvP, that aren't fully mirrored by current partners. By granting them Featured Server status, Microsoft can:
-
Preserve a Massive Player Base: Keep millions of dedicated players engaged within the official Bedrock ecosystem.
-
Support Technical Stability: Provide the necessary documentation/support that only featured partners receive, ensuring the server can survive future updates.
-
Show Community Commitment: Prove that Microsoft values long-standing community creators who have spent 10 years building Bedrock’s popularity.
Please reopen the dialogue with the NetherGames team. Don't let a decade of community history disappear due to technical barriers.
Thank you.
