Optional Companion NPC for Singleplayer

Hello Minecraft Team, I have been playing Minecraft for years and would like to share a suggestion for singleplayer mode. An optional Companion NPC could improve the solo experience. It could follow the player, help with simple tasks, fight monsters, use equipment, and respond to basic commands. The goal would not be to replace the player, but to make the world feel more alive for those who play alone. Players who prefer the classic experience could keep it disabled in settings. Thank you.
