Just as gold was used by piglins and for enchantments, copper could be differentiated from stone and have a real reason for being used.
1) Mining sulfur ore
2) Conductivity enchantment
By using the copper items during rainstorms, he stored electricity which could be measured in a bar.
(Electricity would activate redstone upon contact and would also have an electrical effect on mobs when used with tools.)
(The effect of electricity would work like fire, but it wouldn't be extinguished in the rain and would be transmitted through contact between entities.)
(To avoid the effects of electricity, you would have to stay away from water and place yourself on non-conductive materials like earth or wool.)
3)Weapons and armor would rust as they were worn.
4) Using copper armor in the rain would slightly increase the player's chance of being struck by lightning.
5) Since increasing the damage of the copper sword would be difficult, increasing the attack speed could be implemented, as copper itself is a lighter metal.
6) Copper might take longer to oxidize, while sulfur would accelerate the oxidation process.
7) Pools of sulfur would corrode materials and armor made of metals such as copper, iron, and gold.
