The Raccoon model and texture should be imported directly from Minecraft Dungeons to Minecraft. They would spawn in the Forests, Taigas, Old Growth Taigas biomes, and wander near Taiga Villages, active mostly during dusk and night.
Raccoons could introduce a unique "cleaning" mechanic. If a player or mob drops an item on the ground near him, the Raccoon will pick it up and "inspect" it. If it’s a food item, they eat it; if it’s a useless item (like Rotten Flesh or Poisonous Potatoes), they might "recycle" it by burying it, occasionally turning it into a Bone Meal particle effect on the block.
Unlike other neutral mobs, an untamed Raccoon might try to "sneak" toward a player’s Chest or Barrel if it’s left open or in a low-light area. Instead of stealing valuable loot, they might swap a high-value item (like an Iron Ingot) for a "gift" (like a Stick or a Berry), creating funny and interactive moments in base management.
They could be fed and trust you using Sweet Berries or Egg. Once fed, the Raccoon can be given a specific tool or item to hold. A trusted Raccoon following the player could have a "Scavenger" AI—while you mine or chop wood, the Raccoon automatically picks up nearby experience orbs and "delivers" them to you, increasing your XP gain efficiency.
