I’d like to raise concerns about Minecraft’s performance on PS4 Pro and suggest improvements. Currently, the game does not appear to fully utilise the console’s enhanced hardware and does not carry a “PS4 Pro Enhanced” label, which reflects the experience.
When using higher video settings such as High or Ultra, including features like fancy leaves, the console becomes noticeably loud even after being fully serviced. This indicates the system is under significant strain, with fans ramping up to manage heat. At the same time, frame rate drops become noticeable, leading to inconsistent and less smooth gameplay. This suggests the game is not efficiently optimised for PS4 Pro hardware.
I would like to see an update focused on proper optimisation for PS4 Pro, including improved frame rate stability, more efficient use of GPU/CPU resources, and better scaling of graphical settings. Adding a performance mode or improved resolution handling would also help balance visuals and stability.
This is important because players expect better performance on PS4 Pro compared to the base model. Excessive fan noise and unstable frame rates reduce the experience and suggest unnecessary strain on the system.
Ideally, optimisation improvements should allow higher settings to run smoothly without excessive noise, ensuring the hardware is used efficiently while delivering a stable and enhanced gameplay experience.
