Key Golems from Minecraft Dungeons would add new puzzle and exploration gameplay to structures. Two variants spawn: Yellow (7 hearts) and Blue (9 hearts). Yellow acts normally, riding the player when hit and jumping to a mob’s back if the player is damaged. Blue behaves the same but has a 30% chance to teleport. Yellow opens yellow locks only, while Blue can open blue locks only.
Key Golems spawn in dungeons, trial chambers, mineshafts and desert temples (40%), and rarely in amethyst geodes (10%). A variable spawn egg has a 1/20 chance to spawn a Blue variant.
New Key Locks can be placed on doors, chests, barrels, shulker boxes, ender chests, and special lock walls. Key Golems never despawn when used, and in multiplayer, players can unlock each other’s locks if they have the same color key. Copper Golems can even carry Key Golems on their backs.
