What do you want done?
I propose an overhaul of the Village Popularity system by introducing three levels of community standing: Friend, Guest, and Outcast. This system focuses on non-violent social consequences to make village interactions more strategic.
Why do you want something done?
Currently, reputation lacks depth. I want to make village life more dynamic and challenging. This update also balances iron farming by tying Golem production to the player's relationship with the community.
How do you want something done?
Friend (Reputation > 0): Earned by feeding villagers and repairing Golems. Benefits: small discounts and a chance for Golems to offer flowers (up to 25%).
Guest (Reputation ≈ 0): Standard interactions and prices. Golems are indifferent.
Outcast (Reputation < 0): Villagers express disapproval through a "social boycott," refusing to trade and occasionally throwing items like poisonous potatoes at the player. Iron Golems act as peacekeepers, using knockback to gently "bump" the player toward the village exit without lethal combat.
Village Ledger: A new block (or lectern UI) where players can see why villagers are upset and what donations are needed to restore reputation.
Iron Farm Balancing: Natural Golem spawning is linked to a "Happiness Index." If reputation is negative (Outcast), Golems stop spawning. This requires players to maintain a healthy community for farms to work.
