red worm piles in sulfur caves

I was listening to this article on NPR about these blood red worm piles in sulfur caves IRL. It would be interesting to see these sparsely scattered about. They can be a type of carpet type block and when broken without silk touch can drop red worms. It is stated in the article that these worms are being researched as they can survive in the poisonous lands of the sulfur caves, so maybe you could be able to eat them to reduce the time of poison. Especially with the cave spiders spawning this would be great and wouldn't overpower milk as it doesn't fully get rid of the effect. It also wouldn't overtake honey bottles as it's a weaker version of it. Maybe even be able to mix the worms with honey to be immune to poison for a short time period. It would also be cool if they also filled up one oxygen bubble. This would be a cool way to educate players about a mob that can survive toxic environments while also providing interesting interactions with other items. They would make the toxic sulfur caves feel so much more alive.
