1. What do I want done? I want to add two linked structures: the Delta Outpost (river mouths) and Voyager Towns (floating or pillar-supported villages on the open sea). These are home to a new mob, the Voyagers, and their rivals, Illager Pirates. Voyagers act as expert navigators who offer quests and charts to reveal "Hidden Water Locations."
2. Why do I want something done?
-
The River-to-Sea Gap: Currently, rivers "end" abruptly at the ocean. The Delta Outpost creates a logical transition and a landmark for explorers.
-
Ocean Variety: The open ocean is often empty. Floating/Pillar Towns provide a new type of civilization that makes sea travel much more interesting.
-
Narrative: It adds lore about a people who live between land and deep water, acting as the world’s guides.
3. How do I want something done?
-
Delta Outpost: A sturdy stone and copper fort built at river/ocean junctions. It acts as a "Gatehouse" with docks and a lighthouse.
-
Voyager Towns: Clusters of huts connected by rope bridges. In shallow water, they stand on tall, barnacle-covered pillars; in deep water, they float on buoyancy barrels or logs.
-
The Interaction: Voyagers don't want Emeralds. You must trade resources they can’t get at sea—Beef, Coal, and Copper—to earn "Navigational Charts" to hidden sea legends.
-
The Conflict: Introduce a new Illager role: The Pirate. Pirates sail on war-rafts to raid these towns. Defending a town from a Pirate Raid rewards the player with title "Hero of the Seas" and more reward upcoming.
