Endermen were human once. Their behavior should show it.
THE WANDERER:
Walks alone with no destination. Sometimes stops and holds its head as if trying to remember something. If you approach slowly and quietly, it reaches its hand toward you. Then stops. It remembered you are a stranger. It will never fully reach you. But it tried.
THE WATCHER:
Stands at the highest point of any End island. Always facing the exact direction of the nearest portal. Never moves. Never attacks. Never gives up.
It has been standing there for thousands of years waiting to go home.
SPECIAL INTERACTION WITH THE WATCHER:
Stand next to it without moving for 10 minutes.
It slowly turns and gives you a rare item.
Then returns to watching the portal.
It rewards patience.
Because patience is all it has ever known.
No new models needed.
Just new behaviors for existing Endermen.
Small change. Enormous emotional impact.
