Asset kit for Minecraft fan sites

At the moment, a lot of fan sites like Planet Minecraft and the Minecraft Wiki, which used to use textures from Minecraft in their design while still being officially supported by Mojang, have started using generic textures for fear of licensing issues. Given that these (usually non-commercial) sites are explicitly Minecraft-themed, and do not use the Minecraft assets for anything else, I think they should be allowed to use Minecraft assets. Perhaps Mojang could release an official fan site kit with various Minecraft textures and key art, with strict usage guidelines that say it can only be used for things related to Minecraft.
