On the Nintendo eShop, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is listed two times, once for the Switch 1, and another one for the Switch 2, but the thing is, its not a Switch 2 edition, its a completely separate software, which means, if you want to be able to play it on Switch 1, you have to buy the Switch 1 version, but then you'll have to play the Switch 1 version on the Switch 2 if you want to play it on there UNLESS you buy the entire game again.
Solutions: 1. Have the Switch 2 version be an actual Switch 2 Edition game you can get with a (low price/free) upgrade pack, or 2. When you buy the Switch 1 version, make the Switch 2 version become 100% off on the eShop on your Nintendo account. DELTARUNE used option 2 which works extra well if you have a family who also wants to play the game too, as since you would have 2 separate games instead of one game but 2 versions, multiple people would be able to play at the same time and even play online multiplayer (no longer possible after the Switch Virtual Game Card update unless you have two copies of the same game).
Conclusion/fix: 1. Either make the Switch 2 version a Switch 2 EDITION game (upgradeable from switch 1 edition), or 2. (my pick and probably easier) if you buy the Switch 1 version, make the Switch 2 version 100% off on the user who bought its Nintendo Account.
Thank you for listening to this post, I really hope this gets added/approved so me and my brother can play together/so I don't have to play the switch 1 version on my Switch 2.
