So I have a suggestion to propose... Lightweight built-in shadow rendering for Minecraft Bedrock. This proposes the combination of the built-in soft shadows and hard shadows by Minecraft (The Smooth Shadow settings' smooth and blocky shadows) to replicate how shadows realistically work. It will be simple, the hard shadows will be applied when blocks are close to the ground, then the soft shadows will be applied when blocks are farther away from the ground. That's it, and maybe we can add a bit more complexity like there was a torch underneath a block and projecting a shadow towards the ceiling, or maybe how strong the light source will be to be able to create the hard shadows and the soft shadows. This can make the environment more interesting or intricate to look at while keeping the Minecraft vibes. This would also be specifically cheaper to render than traditional shader packs, as it may also satisfy a number of users. Thank you for reading this feedback.
