The iOS version of Minecraft is currently fully ready to run on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Macs without requiring any additional development process. Contrary to common belief, the iPadOS version already features full keyboard, mouse (raw input), and controller support. This technical foundation allows the application to be played "natively" on macOS with high performance, completely bypassing the need for any third-party emulators.
Currently, Mac users are forced to rely on system-heavy emulators or outdated third-party launchers just to access the game, despite having the exact same hardware architecture as iOS devices. Making the existing iOS app available on the Mac App Store would provide users with incredible thermal efficiency—keeping device temperatures low—and a fluid experience at maximum frame rates (FPS).
Given that keyboard and mouse inputs are already fully compatible within the game’s code, keeping this support disabled is a significant loss for the community. We kindly request that you unlock this potential by making this technically ready experience available to us via the Mac App Store.
I would appreciate it if you could vote for this proposal.
